Meditation why try

Meditation, why try...

When our software “ our mind”  has bugs or faulty programming we are going to have problems.
The goal of meditation is two fold : first to de-bug the programming of the mind and second to optimise the circuitry of the brain and neurological system. Only then will we be able to expand our conscious awareness. We are here to live a fully awakened physical life.

Quiet the mind and the soul will speak.

Scientist discovered that you can compare your brain with a skinny legged guy at the gym who only trains his chest and arms. We need to train our brain and make new connections to activate parts which are less evolved/active. Scientist know that weakness within the prefrontal cortex impairs decision making and brainpower- as that this weakness is opening the gates of anxiety and depression. Through meditation we can upgrade this part of the brain to hack into evolution.

Studies have found that meditation grows and “thickens” our prefrontal cortex! And yes we possess an ocean of unconscious/ subconscious mind power. Your subconscious is smarter than you think and neuroscience confirms your subconscious shapes your reality. So let’s hack into that system, balance our brains and by doing so aligning ourselves with spirit.

Benefits

Meditation reduces stress from the body, by our nervous system.
We do have an unconscious based nervous system which we distinct in the parasympathetic ( rest , love , relaxation and recovery ) mostly related to the Vegas nerve and we have the sympathetic nerve system which reacts to the fight and flight , fear. This sympathetic nerve systems responds with releasing hormones like adrenaline, cortisol and it raises our blood pressure.

Please always remember that our nerve system and bodies don’t recognize the difference between the stress if a big black bull is chasing us or stress from worry, anxiety, mindfucks. In this modern world especially with all the technology we are under constant stress. Meditation really influences the parasympathetic nerve system and activates this system where body stress will be released. It makes us more relaxed and effective in life. It’s proven that a meditation course for depression functions better then anti-depression drugs.

What

Meditation changes the brain connection and creates new highways towards new and undiscovered areas of the brain. When practiced more often we become more conscious and present.

We bring our vibration back to a coherent state, which gives our endocrine system the opportunity to relax the body and release
the good hormones and the happy chemicals into your body.
This makes us more at peace, more loving, kind and by nature gives the flow of energy a boost.

Meditation is absolutely everything we need to learn as young as possible. It’s about controlling ourselves, protecting ourselves from unconscious behaviour, bringing us back to focus towards what’s truly important ‘ life purpose, love and development of the self.

vs.

The difference between a spiritual practice and meditation is that spiritual practice is based on experience while meditation is about a state change , accessing different waves and by doing so able to hack into our systems to heal ourselves. We are looking to find the silence within silence or we are looking for this transformational experience which happens internally.

Both spiritual practices and meditation aim to connect us with ourselves and both are able to be practiced with or without a religious belief system. When you are religious you can always perform both practices without betraying your loyalty.

Back to meditation.

Meditation is the focussing of ones mind or total awareness until it comes completely into a state of coherence. Coherence is key as it means everything is aligned , synchronized and of one whole. A Unified state.

Meditation connects us to the ground of consciousness.

Who are you conscious being? I am who I am would be it’s response.

Spiritual practices have been traditionally designed to connect us. When our consciousness connects to higher forms of consciousness our brain activity changes.

The purpose of mediation is to get beyond the analytical mind

What separates the conscious mind from the subconscious mind is the analytical mind.In meditation you slow your brainwaves down from beta to alpha and even further into theta you begin to suppress thinking , and as you are no longer analyzing and thinking , brainwaves begin to slowdown and consciousness literally moves out of one part of the brain and begins to move into another part ...Then a person is conscious in its subconscious mind , and now the door between the subconscious and conscious mind is open and ready to access information.

In other words if your analytical thinking mind is functioning in high beta , you are separated from the operating system where you can connect to the quantum field. So by practicing to slow your brain waves you are able to use your brain as-radio receiver to tune into frequencies that exist beyond your senses.

The operating system and the software is equivalent to our mind and soul and the user is our spirit or higher intelligence which is connected to the mind of all. Our intention is to expand our consciousness accessing those transcendent states and harness our greater capacity.

How to rewire our brain : neuroplasticity

Our brain is not hard wired, our brain and nervous system are very adaptable throughout our lifetime. So we can re-direct and rewire our brain circuitry by our choices, attitudes and actions.

There are certain things really important in how to make this rewiring possible.

Focused attention , repetition and practice and make it a daily habit to integrate of part of our life.

It takes about 3 months before a new behavior has firmly wired in.

It takes discipline , will power and self control to follow through and achieve that new skill of behavior.

The right environment , includes things like having supportive and harmonious relationships, good physical health and the ability to feel safe and inspired. When the brain gets to stressed it kicks in survival mode and defaults to old neural patterns.

As mentioned before the prefrontal cortex which scientist refer to as the executive control centre is the part where we have the most conscious control. This part of the brain is highly connected to other regions of the brain and it can govern them from top down processing, it oversees our decision making , control over our impulses and gives us the ability to act with intention. The prefrontal is the last part of the brain to develop because it’s the most recent edition of the brain’s evolution.

Hemispheric transfer relates to the fact we have two hemispheres lets say a team of rivals working together. They both possess such different capabilities and perceive in very different ways. Left is structured, linear, logical and right is more about the big picture, creative, connects to nature, relationships and having fun.

While we may think they are polar opposites but in truth they are meant to work together for a whole brain experience, both are necessary to be a balanced person. Unfortunately most people tend to have left or right dominating the other.

In the western society we tend to put much more emphasis on the left brain of doing things. This is why our modern world has become very left brain dominant. Values as reasons, logic science, iq, being organized and disciplined. Thinking rationally tend to be more emphasized in society today. These are placed above brain qualities as EQ , nurturing, artistic expression, empathy and intuition and because of this we live in a world which places less value on “ whole brain “ development.

So the ideal is not to be left or right brain dominant but to be whole brain.

In our present state we experience life through a set of filters and we tend to default on relying on our strength while avoiding our weaknesses. If we want to balance we have to choose to stimulate the brain in new ways. This how we build the right bridge between the two hemispheres. Our pre frontals are giving us humans the ability to engage with the world. This what gives us the ability to act upon our ideals , rather then just our animal instincts.

The reason why the prefrontal is the gateway is that by intentionally stimulating the frontal area it automatically sends signals top down, to the rest of the brain and nervous system. This aid us in developing stronger neuro connections throughout the brain and in in addition by using methods such as meditation to expand consciousness we can also access transcendence states.

All traditions perform a form of meditation, the christians call it contemplative prayer, the most familiar ones are the buddhist and hindu forms of meditation, repetitive prayer or observing nothingness, transcendental meditation etc.

When you start meditating it's hard to find comfort in silence and to sit still.  I would suggest to start with good breathing exercises. You can breath yourself into different states. It revitalises your body and it brings openness for the energy to flow.

I will add some on this website

I really like the following sound meditation which syncs the brain. Plug in earphones, close your eyes and see how you feel after.
